Upcoming Events at SCC

EVENT COMMITTEE FUND RAISING PLANS 2010 -2011

The following events have been planned to help with the deficit funds of our church. There are many ways that parishioners can help support these events. We look forward to the success, fun and fellowship these events will promote. Further details and information will be provided in advance of each event.

March 27, 2010  ~  $$$$$GOLD SALE$$$$$

Bring your old jewelry, broken jewelry, and those items that may just be cluttering up and change them into cash.  Kathleen McNichols-Marks, of Marks of Design will be set up in the parish house to evaluate pieces. Refreshments will be served.

May 15, 2010  ~  Tag Sale
This will be a rain or shine event that will be held in the activity room at A Child’s Garden, 20 Ivy Brook Road, Shelton. We will be selling table space for individuals to sell items and we will be collecting donations for a church table.

June 19, 2010  ~ Concert
The venue for this will announced later. The event will be organized by Matt Miklus
and will take place in the sanctuary.

July  ~  100 MILE WALK
All are encouraged to participate in the month long event. Participants will wear a
pedometer while going about your daily routine and accumulate 100 miles. Each
participant will ask for sponsors to donate to their accomplishment.

November 18 & 19 2010  ~ CHRISTMAS FAIR
We will kick off the fair on Friday evening with a caroling event followed by refreshments and “shopping”. Venders will be invited to participate and the church will have tables as well.

ADDITIONAL PLANS
Plans for spring and fall of 2011 are being organized for a Raffle and Auction.
We will be looking for donations for the auction and will be visiting area businesses for items for the Raffle.  If you have anything to contribute to either of these events please see us.
